Il pistachio of Bronte PDO is one of our main inspirational ingredients in terms of taste, colour and quality. We are from Bronte and in this small town at the foot of Mount Etna the pistachio has found its better conditions to grow and take on an aromatic taste universally recognised as unique and special.
Pistachio here grows on the rocky, steep lava flows of Etna, almost as if to represent a challenge to nature; a symbolism that becomes an allegory for the Sicilians' constant commitment to the voucher and the nice. A challenge that has been repeated for centuries, since the time of the first colonisers, who gradually instilled the concepts of perfection and refinement into our making.
Ours are traditional sweets, made with ingredients that tell the thousand-year history of Sicilian confectionery, in an ideal itinerary across the island: Sicilian almonds, Nebrodi hazelnuts, candied fruit and other ingredients processed and transformed according to criteria that preserve their integrity and translate into inimitable delicacies.
How not to mention chocolatepure, processed at low temperatures to maintain the spontaneous aromas and roundness of flavour of the cocoa beans. The beans, sourced from certified farms, are ground and roasted without the addition of other ingredients, allowing all qualities to be expressed in the fragmentation and refining process.
